Palm Jumeirah
EN: Palm Jumeirah is where I have spent most of my time in Dubai. From quiet beachfront hotels and iconic resorts to restaurants, long walks by the sea and everyday life on the Palm — this part of Dubai has become one of the places I know best.
DE: Auf Palm Jumeirah habe ich während meiner Dubai-Aufenthalte die meiste Zeit verbracht. Von ruhigen Strandhotels und ikonischen Resorts über Restaurants und Spaziergänge am Meer bis zum ganz normalen Alltag auf der Palm – diesen Teil Dubais kenne ich inzwischen besonders gut.
Bluewaters Island
EN: Bluewaters Island is one of those places I like to return to — especially in the evening. A relaxed waterfront promenade, plenty of restaurants, views towards JBR and Palm Jumeirah, and Ain Dubai always in the background. From Asian food to Italian and Greek restaurants, there is enough choice to spend an entire evening here without needing much of a plan.
DE: Bluewaters Island ist einer dieser Orte, an die ich gerne zurückkehre – besonders am Abend. Eine entspannte Promenade am Wasser, zahlreiche Restaurants, der Blick Richtung JBR und Palm Jumeirah und Ain Dubai immer im Hintergrund. Von asiatischer Küche über italienische bis zu griechischen Restaurants gibt es genügend Auswahl, um hier einen ganzen Abend zu verbringen, ohne viel planen zu müssen.
Kitebeach
EN: Kite Beach is one of my favourite places in Dubai. A lively mix of beach life, sports, families and food trucks — relaxed, uncomplicated and a place where I can easily spend an entire day.
DE: Kite Beach gehört zu meinen Lieblingsorten in Dubai. Eine lebendige Mischung aus Strandleben, Sport, Familien und Food Trucks – entspannt, unkompliziert und ein Ort, an dem ich problemlos einen ganzen Tag verbringen kann.
Jumeirah & Madinat Jumeirah
EN: For me, Jumeirah and Madinat Jumeirah show Dubai from a more elegant side — with Al Qasr, restaurants by the sea and the Burj Al Arab always close by. And at Christmas, there is a beautiful Christmas market that gives the area a completely different atmosphere.
DE: Für mich zeigen Jumeirah und Madinat Jumeirah Dubai von seiner eleganteren Seite – mit dem Al Qasr, Restaurants direkt am Meer und dem Burj Al Arab immer in der Nähe. Und zur Weihnachtszeit gibt es dort einen wunderschönen Weihnachtsmarkt, der der ganzen Gegend noch einmal eine völlig andere Atmosphäre gibt.
Downtown Dubai
EN: Downtown Dubai is impressive, but for me it is also one of the most tourist-heavy parts of the city. Burj Khalifa, the fountains and Dubai Mall are worth seeing — even if after several visits the crowds around the main attractions can become a little exhausting.
DE: Downtown Dubai ist beeindruckend, für mich aber auch einer der touristischsten Teile der Stadt. Burj Khalifa, die Fontänen und die Dubai Mall sollte man gesehen haben – auch wenn die Menschenmengen rund um die Hauptattraktionen nach mehreren Besuchen durchaus anstrengend werden können.
Dubai Marina
EN: Dubai Marina is one of Dubai’s most touristy areas — pleasant for a walk along the waterfront, with boats, restaurants and plenty going on. Not one of my personal highlights, but definitely worth seeing once.
DE: Dubai Marina gehört für mich zu den touristischsten Gegenden Dubais – angenehm für einen Spaziergang am Wasser, mit Booten, Restaurants und viel Betrieb. Nicht eines meiner persönlichen Highlights, aber einmal sollte man es definitiv gesehen haben.
Deira - Old Dubai
EN: Discover Deira and Old Dubai through the Gold Souk, traditional abra boats across Dubai Creek and the contrast between the old bazaars and the newer parts of the district.
DE: Entdecke Deira und das alte Dubai mit dem Gold Souk, den traditionellen Abra-Booten auf dem Dubai Creek und dem Kontrast zwischen den alten Basaren und den neueren Teilen des Viertels.
Al Quoz
EN: Al Quoz shows a completely different side of Dubai — industrial streets, warehouses, workshops and, in between, luxury cars and surprisingly stylish cafés.
DE: Al Quoz zeigt eine völlig andere Seite Dubais – Industrie, Lagerhallen und Werkstätten, dazwischen Luxusautos und überraschend stylische Cafés.
Al Karama & Zabeel
EN: Al Karama and Zabeel show a very different side of Dubai — from lively local markets and surprisingly affordable restaurants to green Zabeel Park and the impressive Dubai Frame.
DE: Al Karama und Zabeel zeigen eine ganz andere Seite Dubais – von lebhaften lokalen Märkten und überraschend günstigen Restaurants bis zum grünen Zabeel Park und dem beeindruckenden Dubai Frame.
Dubai Creek Harbour
EN: Dubai Creek Harbour is a quieter side of the city — a waterfront promenade, stylish cafés and restaurants, and one of my favourite views towards Downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa.
